Chinese Writers Guests In Croatia
Five Chinese writers will visit the Croatian Writers Society in Zagreb and after they will travel to Rovinj, Pula and Bakar.
Fiver Chinese literates from the Chinese Writers Society will come on a responsive visit at the Croatian Writers Society (HDP) in Zagreb. They will tour other Croatian cities from November 27.
The Chinese Writers Society is composed by eight thousand members, and members from regional organizations will be introduced in Croatia. The best prose writers and essayists from different parts of China, said Sonja Manojlovic, head secretary of HDP. She added that she is already organizing another exchange between Croatian and Chinese writers.
The five Chinese members who will visit Croatia are: journalist, editor and writer Li Lanni (1956), writers Tan Tan (1944), Ye Zhaoyan (1957) Peng Xueming (1964) and literature translator Wu Xinwei (1980).
They will meet with their colleagues of the Croatian Writers Society in Zagreb, then they will go to Rovinj on November 23, and to Pula the next day. The visit will end their visti on November 26 with a meeting with students of the Faculty of Philosophy in Rijeka, and with a conference on Chinese modern literature in Bakar.
Nikola Petković, Slobodan Snajder, Velimir Viskovic and Sonja Manojlovic visited the Chinese cities of Beijing, Xian and Shanghai from October 24 to November 5 of this year.
